Vital Arts, a British arts organization in charge of introducing art to Britain’s hospitals recently asked 15 artists to collaborate on a project that would make the the interior of London Royal Children’s Hospital a bright, fun place to stay.
The artists needed to make sure that their work was easy to clean, a simple taste for their murals, but not so easy for materials they needed to use for the creation of objects around the hospital. The artists to show off their vision used vinyl, ceramics, wood and even rugs to liven up the hospital.
Each ward, play area, and even the elevator lobbies were given their own unique designs that really bring the hospital to life.

Being stuck in a hospital is never fun, especially for children who just want to play and have fun. These artists have created one of the most inviting spaces I have ever seen at a Children’s hospital, and they did it for the children. A big round of applause for these awesome artists.
