Ray Chaves is the oldest living survivor of Pearl Harbor at 104-years-old. What might be most impressive is that Chaves isn’t only more than a century old, but that he still goes to the gym to lift weights and stay healthy.
“I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, and I try to keep regular sleep,” Ray explains of his healthy lifestyle.
When the 104-year-old began losing his appetite 3 years ago, he knew something had to change if he was going to make it to 110.
Ray teamed up with Sean Thompson, a personal trainer who had previously helped a 100-year-old woman turn her life around.
When he started working out with Ray, he weighed just 94 pounds.
His secret? Determination.
“I’ll never tell myself you’re too old to do this,” Sean said in the video below. “I’ll never let my clients say they’re too old for this because he’s proven them wrong.”
