This sobbing women couldn’t place her order at the drive-thru and an employee’s response was perfect

16-year-old Brenden McGee, an employee at a Whitey’s Ice Cream, was working his regular shift at the restaurant’s drive-thru window, when he was greeted with something devastating.

On the speaker was a woman crying so deeply that he could barely speak in full sentences.

He tried to understand the women but after numerous attempts she simply pulled up to the window.

That’s when Brenden decided to do something unexpected. He was determined to make a difference and do what he could to cheer up the mystery woman.

When she reached his window, he looked at her, smiled, and said, “your shake is on me tonight, you have a good night!”

He didn’t realize at the time that his act of kindness made a huge amount of difference in the women’s life.

The little act of kindness left a grin one the woman’s face as she drove away speechless…

Little did McGee know that she recently widowed. B

The grief-stricken women eventually returned to praise the young man in a conversation with his manager.

“She told me that she had just lost her husband a few weeks ago, and it was really tough,” Rhonda VanDyke, told KWPC. “I understood where she was coming from because I’ve had the same experience and so I felt really bad for her, but it was really cool that Brenden could cheer her up.”

While the company does not have an official employee of the month policy, the thankful customer suggested that they hang a sign in the back of the store to remind employees of the young man’s amazing attitude.
