Yolanda is a Golden Retriever and service dog who has been trained since birth to care for a blind woman in her 60s. Recently, the dog went above and beyond when she pulled her owner from a burning home — it was the second time she has saved her owner’s life.

Using a specially designed phone, Yolanda called 911 and then proceeded to pull her owner out of the home and to safety.

After hearing about the heroic gesture, volunteers from Red Paw Emergency Relief Team in Philadelphia came by with rewards for the heroic pooch.

“Our volunteers just dropped off food, toys, treats, and supplies to Yolanda,” they said in a Facebook post. They included the following photos.

Red Paw explained the situation. “The crazy part, this is not the first time she’s called 9-1-1 for her owner! Last year, Yolanda’s owner fell in the house and was unconscious; she called 9-1-1 then too! Yolanda is a superhero!!”

What’s just as crazy is that Yolanda also protected her owner after home intruders entered her residence in 2013. When the intruders broke in Yolanda closed her owner’s bedroom door and then chased the burglars from the home. She also called the police.

Underdog is that you?
