Last year creative freelance director Philip Kirkman and his fiancee, photographer Shannon McLaughlin, created the first ever NYC Tax Drivers calendar. This year her calendar features three returning “All-Stars” and 10 new drivers. The calendar also features the first ever husband and wife driving duo.
It’s hard not to love a calendar that showcases a mixture of bread eating, puppies, and cabbies shaving on the job. One look and it is immediately obvious that these Taxi drivers love their job and know how to have fun.
A portion of each calendar sale will be donated to the University Settlement, a nonprofit social service agency in the Lower East Side that helps over 30,000 immigrants and workers every year.
If you love the puppies they are available for adoption from the Animal Haven shelter in Manhattan.
