Boy’s service dog makes it into school yearbook

The middle school yearbook typically isn’t a big spectacle. Usually you find a few pages filled with hundreds of thumbnails of pimpled faced preteens.

The photos are mostly awkward, but always fun to look back on later in life.

At Good Hope Middle School it was a different story.

Seventh grader Seph Ware has grown up in Louisiana, and he knows the kids he went to school with very well. And they all know about Seph who grew Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Because of the typical symptoms of this condition, such as falling down, odd gait and trouble getting up or walking around, Seph needed more and more help as he grew older.

To combat this problem, Seph was given a service dog. This loyal pup’s name is Presley, and she absolutely loves Seph.

They are always together which has made her well known to the young man’s friends at school.

This is how close the inseparable pair have become.

Realizing that the two were always together, even at school, the yearbook committee made a decision.

Presely was given her chance to also smile for the camera.

Presley Ware and Seph Rare eventually ended up side-by-side in their own photos in the middle school yearbook.

This seems like a fitting tribute to a service dog who attended school every single day just like all of the kids at the middle school.
