Reddit user terminusbound recently posted pictures of a unique squirrel. Instead of the traditional brown fur, this amazing little creature is black and white. The squirrel also features blue eyes.
Terminusbound discovered the squirrel outside of his office building in San Jose, California.
The little guy looks like a skunk and a squirrel were combined. The squirrel in the animal work is called a “piebald.” That is a condition that sometimes happens in mammal populations. Typically the unique blend of colors makes the animals easy prey, which means they don’t live long enough to reproduce. Piebald’s are most likely to survive if protected under domestication.
