After her 41st brain surgery this young girl received a Taylor Swift surprise

17-yr-old Amelia Holly can often be found sitting in her hospital bed while playing guitar and singing her heart out.

She is often in a hospital bed because she was born with two different disorders that cause her brain to fill with extra fluid.

While she deals with horrible pain almost every single day, she is holding out hope that one day doctors will find a cure for her diseases.

Whenever she is feeling down she picks up her guitar and writes a song. After a recent brain surgery she wrote:

“Cause faith isn’t faith unless you know who you trust in, and a promise is words. You’re my clarity when lines get blurred.”

The song is called ‘All that I do.’ She says,”I wrote it last year at the beginning of all my 18 surgeries, and I didn’t want to come out on the other end of all the surgeries not seeing what God had done in my life. I wanted the time I spent in the hospital to mean something other than ‘Amelia is sick again.’”

Despite 41 brain surgeries she continues to live life to its fullest. She is the vice president of her senior class, a member of the Beta Club and National Honors Society.

After her last brain surgery members of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta handed her an envelope and asked her to read it for a “Children’s Healthcare commercial” so she wouldn’t catch on to a big surprise heading her way.

The shock on her face as she began to read was heartwarming to see  “My name is Amelia Holley and on October 24th, I’m …going …BACKSTAGE..to meet Taylor Swift!”

6 days before her 42nd brain surgery, Amelia met her favorite person in the world.

Despite countless rounds of surgery the young lady remains positive, saying of herself, “I always know I’m going to get through it.”

Here’s her beautiful reaction to the surprising news.
