This adorable kitten refused to die despite her circumstances, including a devastating heat wave and abandonment. Little Horcruxe was found by Imgur user LiedoePala during the heat wave in the south of France in 2015.
LiedoePala explained that she and her SO found the kitten under a dumpster after hearing “panicked meows” coming from the area.
The rescuer added, “The kitten was clearly abandoned by a human as the street was surrounded with high walls without any stash for a cat to hide her litter.”
The baby kitten wasn’t even old enough to open her eyes.
Little Horcruxe wasn’t even old enough to open her eyes. Her coworkers told her the next day that they heard the meows earlier in the morning when they passed by the dumpster.
LiedoePala and her SO took the kitten to a vet, which told them that it was three days old and heavily dehydrated. The vet added that it would be difficult for the little gray kitty to survive, even if she allowed herself to be fed.
After a long 24-hours, little Horcruxe finally accepted a bottle and drank replacement milk every two hours for days.
The little kitten opened her blue eyes after 10 days and immediately began playing with everything.
Horcruxe also found companionship in LiedoePala’s grown-up cat Khajiit.
Despite a bit of sibling rivalry, the two cats spend time cuddling with each other and begging for attention from the little gray kitten’s rescuer.
Thanks to LiedoePala’s decision to help and Horcruxe’s will to live, the little gray kitty has a forever home.
